North American VALORANT team 100 Thieves announced their 2022 roster for the VALORANT Champions Tour on Monday, with three players returning to the squad and the addition of Hunter “BabyJ” Schline and Adam “ec1s” Eccles.

100 Thieves had holes to fill after the departures of Quan “dicey” Tran, Joshua “steel” Nissan’s transfer to T1 and Nicholas “nitr0” Cannella’s return to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. The team also lost substitute Johann “seven” Hernandez but enters 2022 with the addition BabyJ, a former FaZe Clan player, and ec1s, one of the better-known names in the European VALORANT scene.

Along with returning players Spencer “Hiko” Martin, Peter “Asuna” Mazuryk and Ethan “Ethan” Arnold, the 100 Thieves roster for 2022 is set. The team has also found new leadership with former analyst Jovanni “Jovi” Vera moving to the head coaching position.

BabyJ’s VALORANT skills were highlighted early on in the year, though FaZe tapered off toward the end of the season. His best finish alongside that FaZe roster was at NA Stage 3 Challengers 2,  where FaZe lost in the final to TSM. Toward the end of his time on FaZe, he played primarily Killjoy and Viper. Now, he can fill in that role for 100 Thieves and hope to reclaim his form from mid-2021.

Former Ninjas in Pyjamas player ec1s might be a difference-maker for 100 Thieves if he can play like he did earlier this year as well. The 21-year-old, who got his start on the highly touted Fish123 roster in VALORANT’s early days, landed on Team Liquid as well as Ninjas in Pyjamas in 2021 and 2021, respectively. The in-game leader had a hot start to 2021 but was moved to an inactive on the NiP roster in November. He will fill the IGL role for 100 Thieves as well and hope to turn the squad’s fortunes around from a 2021 that, like his, started off with potential but fell off in the fall.
