Shortly after teasing an announcement to close out the night, the 100 Thieves organization dropped some major news on their official Twitter account: Kim “Ssumday” Chan-ho is returning to the LCS in 2020. The announcement was made with a bait-and-switch hype video displaying the team’s sweet new merch. The video features several members of the 100 Thieves organization, including popular streamer Jack “CouRage” Dunlop (who recently abandoned Twitch for YouTube) and organization owner, Matthew “Nadeshot” Haag. In a surprise twist, the final person featured in the video was the team’s returning top laner, Ssumday himself.

The official announcement was then made moments later, once again via the team’s official Twitter page.

This is huge news for 100 Thieves fans as Ssumday was one of the hottest free agents on the market. The re-signing helps the team shore up one of the biggest holes on their roster. However, one thing should be noted. As Ssumday has yet to establish residency, the 100 Thieves will once again be required to use an import slot to keep him on the roster. This leads us to believe that the team will likely have to sign a domestic player to fill the vacant bot lane carry position.

A sneaky addition to the bot lane?

Ever since the news broke that Cloud9 was signing TSM’s former bot laner, Jesper “Zven” Svenningsen, fans have been clamoring for 100 Thieves to go out and sign LCS legend, Zachary “Sneaky” Scuderi. The reason? They want to see the meme king reunited with his long-time teammate, William “Meteos” Hartman. 100 Thieves announced the signing of Meteos to be the team’s starting jungler earlier today.

To see the two former LCS champions reunited would be a dream come true for most fans of the LCS. Sneaky and Meteos have not appeared on the same roster since 2017. At the time, Meteos left the Cloud9 roster to join Phoenix1.
