100 Thieves signs former Call of Duty pro Rated to its Warzone roster

100 Thieves has continued its foray into the professional Call of Duty: Warzone scene. Earlier today, the organization announced its signed former Call of Duty pro Rhys “Rated” Price to the official roster. This is 100 Thieves’ second signing in as many weeks, as Thomas “Tommey” Trewren was signed back on November 9. 100T is seemingly taking its talent from the pool of former professional players in the Call of Duty League. Both Tommey and Rated were on CDL teams in 2020 but couldn’t find their way in for 2021. However, that doesn’t seem to matter now, as both are the first members of 100T’s Warzone roster.

Rated joins 100 Thieves’ Warzone roster

A longtime veteran of the Call of Duty esports scene, it was assumed Rated would land a spot in the CDL in 2021. Both a starter and substitute for the London Royal Ravens in 2020, Rated was always thought to be a solid player and teammate. However, the CDL’s move to 4v4 appears to have bounced Rated from the league.

Along with that, the Wales native has accused the CDL of being the “Friend League.” Apparently, part of the reason he couldn’t find a spot for 2021 was due to circumstances beyond his control.

However, all of that appears to be water under the bridge, as Rated now joins the most prominent organization for Warzone. The former pro has been streaming and competing on the game since its release and has solidified himself as a top competitor. 100 Thieves owner Matt “Nadeshot” Haag recently played a tournament with him and was simply blown away by his talent.

During that tournament, Nadeshot stated that if Rated didn’t find a CDL spot, he would sign him to the Warzone roster. Well, the CDL didn’t come calling, which means 100T did. There are reports that this won’t be the last professional Warzone signing, so expect more announcements soon.
