The Secret Pack mechanic in Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel is the best and easiest way to pull specific cards players need. But there is a hidden trick that isn’t explained in the game that not only can unlock secret packs, but it also gives players free ones. One method that players unlock secret packs is by pulling specific cards in Master Packs that will give a key to unlock that cards secret pack. However, players can craft a card in the deck builder to do the same thing, but with a twist.

If players craft a card for a Secret Pack they haven’t unlocked or pulled from yet, they will receive one free pack of that Secret Pack. To do this, players just need to craft a single SR that has a Secret Pack associated with them. Certain cards that are in multiple Secret Packs will unlock free packs for all of them. For example, the trap card Marshalling Field is a part of three different Secret Packs. Those are Timeworn Legacies, Colossal Mech and Altered Heraldry.  It costs 30 SR/UR CP to craft a card to unlock a free pack so players will want to make sure they dont need the CP before doing this. But for cards like Marshalling Field that unlocks multiple packs, it’s most likely worth it.

The other free pack that players can unlock without spending gems is Legacy Packs. These are simple two-card packs players can unlock by playing in matches. Also, players who have Playstation Plus can unlock 50 of these by just being a member. The cards that are available in this pack cannot be dismantled when pulled and don’t include every card like the Master Packs do. However, there are still some solid pickups players can get from these packs. Some of the best cards available include many extra deck monsters like Goyo Guardian, Armades and Ravenous Crocodragon Archethys which is actually a card needed for one of the best decks in the game, Virtual World.

The pack also includes some classic cards from the anime like Jinzo and Blue-Eyes White Dragon.
