Like with most other multiplayer titles on PC, Apex Legends has struggled with cheating issues. This problem really ramped up around a year ago, but Respawn was swift in cracking down on hackers. The developers started to permanently ban cheaters’ hardware so they couldn’t simply make a new account to cheat with. The solution worked for a spell, but then hackers figured out how to bypass the Easy Anti-Cheat software that Respawn has in place. While not all hacks can pass it, most can, which is leading to a rampant number of cheaters in Apex Legends.
Cheating is ruining Apex Legends
In any given match of Apex Legends, particularly in Ranked, there’s a good chance that a hacker is present. They’re fairly easy to spot as they don’t miss a bullet and often move in a bot-like fashion. Most cheaters use some kind of aimbot, which allows them to lock on to targets and eliminate them within the blink of an eye.
However, there are also cheats that allow the hacker to see every player’s location on the map. This, paired with an aimbot, is the ultimate form of cheating in Apex Legends, as you can’t really kill these players. The cheaters simply hop into a Ranked game and kill the whole lobby, which moves them up the ranks pretty quickly.
Of course, Respawn has a “Report Player” system in place, but this doesn’t always catch the cheaters. It’s because of this inability to ban the cheaters that normal players are asking for more from Respawn.
soo…..are cheaters just not getting banned anymore on Apex?

As of right now, the only surefire way to ban a cheater is to send a Respawn developer the username of the hacker in question. Though, the developers don’t respond to all tweets or Reddit posts, making this an ineffective way of dealing with the issue.
we're spectating them right now but its Bosss12344321

The community is begging Respawn for a simpler way of banning cheaters. If nothing concrete happens, hacking will still occur due to the fact that there are really no severe consequences.
