Apex Legends season 4 is just around the corner, as it launches on Feb. 4, the one-year anniversary of the game. Season 3 has been perhaps the most successful season for Respawn and Apex Legends, and that’s without the upcoming Grand Soiree event. However, even with substantial success, that doesn’t mean there are things that can’t be improved upon or added. Fans still have many wishes for the shooter heading into the new season. Although, according to a leak, one of those features may be arriving sooner rather than later — a replay system.

Replay system on the way in Apex Legends?

One of the biggest aspects of other multiplayer titles that isn’t in Apex Legends is some kind of replay system. Fortnite has its Theater mode along with titles like Call of Duty, PUBG, etc. Not only is it good for content creation, but it’s a great way to improve on your own skills. Seeing your gameplay from a neutral point of view is a tremendous help for players of all skill levels.

However, up to this point, we’ve heard nothing regarding a replay system in Apex Legends. Professional players have pined after it as well as casual players though, so Respawn knows this is a priority within their community.

Well, a leak posted to Apex Legends subreddit by u/nev3rfail suggests a replay system could be in the works, as we can see files that document different angles of your gameplay.

Some discovery I made today: Apex creates CSV file with you positions and camera angles during the game. For me it seems like they are trying to implement some kind of replay system. What do you think? from apexlegends

Of course, just because we see these files within the game doesn’t mean a replay mode is coming. Although, it’s noteworthy that Respawn keeps track of information like this. Unless they use it behind the scenes, the only other use for this information is a replay system.

Take all leaks with a grain of salt, but this legitimately looks like something that’s in the works.
