Respawn Entertainment recently released a launch trailer to give fans a sneak peek into Season 5 of Apex Legends, which has quickly surpassed over 5.5 million views. The cinematic video currently sits at #1 on YouTube’s trending page, which showcases the background of the newest hero, Loba.
Apex Legends Season 5
With Season 5 of Apex Legends, a new hero named Loba Andrade is being released. She was introduced in an earlier video, which depicted her early life as a thief after becoming a foster child due to her parents being killed. Her deep grudge with the synthetic nightmare legend Revenant was revealed, but no further information was given about the backstory.Â
This was later clarified in the new launch trailer, which shows Loba inside a Hammond Robotics facility underneath Skull Town. She has flashbacks to her parents being assassinated after seeing a copy of Revenant’s simulacrum chassis in the facility.
However, she is unsuccessful in infiltrating the underground area after setting off an alarm and is attacked by waves of robots. Loba repels a few of them before setting off an explosion to escape.Â
New hero: master thief Loba
Loba escapes from the facility through a teleportation ability that is showcased several times in the cinematic trailer. The trailer pans to several other Apex Legends heroes standing around the area, with a final confrontation between Loba and Revenant.
The video hints to fans that the map will go through drastic changes, with the inclusion of an underground area and more. In addition, Loba’s abilities will have much to do with her previous occupation of a master thief.Â
