Apex Legends: Strategies for improving your accuracy

While Apex Legends has been out for over a year, there are always different ways for you to improve. Whether this be movement or in-game knowledge, your game can be worked on in one way or another. However, perhaps the most important aspect of Apex Legends that you can improve is your accuracy. This is perhaps the most crucial part of any multiplayer shooter, as you can’t succeed without having decent accuracy. With that in mind, here are some tips on how you can improve this skill in Apex Legends.

Tips for improving your aim in Apex Legends

Of course, the number one way to improve in any facet of your game is to just practice. Hop on whenever you have some free time and work on whatever you’re trying to upgrade. As the saying goes, practice makes perfect.

However, besides just playing Apex Legends, there are a couple of other ways to help improve your accuracy. They both involve the Firing Range, which can be accessed through the mode selector in the lobby.

Apex Legends firing range

Choose “Firing Range” from the selector and pick any weapon that you feel comfortable with. Alternatively, you can choose a weapon that you’re not great with and try to increase your familiarity with it. Next, pick a few targets on the map and starting firing at them. You can do this at any range, but we recommend going further back as your accuracy decreases with more range, making it harder.

While you can fire at the shooting targets, it’s more beneficial to shoot at the red dummies on the map. These simulate an average-sized character and allow you to practice shooting at different body parts. A great way to practice your accuracy is to simulate an actual gunfight. You can do this by running up and down the lane next to the dummies and firing while on the run.

Also, if you want to practice your mid-air accuracy, you can ride up one of the ziplines then hop off towards one of the dummies. While not an exact simulation, this is as close as it gets to actual engagements in Apex Legends.
