Season 3 of Call of Duty: Warzone has been largely dominated by a select few weapons. The current meta guns are mainly assault rifles, with the RAM-7, Cold War AK-47 and CR-56 AMAX leading the pack. There are some underrated options in the game, like the Krig-6, but there are also weapons that simply provide a change from the constant meta. This AS-VAL loadout fills that role in Warzone Season 3.

A DLC weapon in Modern Warfare, the AS-VAL is a consistent assault rifle in Warzone that features balanced stats. The problem with it, is that it doesn’t possess any noteworthy stat to push it into the meta. Of course, this doesn’t mean the AS-VAL isn’t worth using with the right loadout.

Best AS-VAL loadout in Warzone

To make the AS-VAL viable in Warzone, its loadout needs to be boosted in several areas. These areas includes range, mobility and recoil control. However, it will feature some common attachments, so it’s up to the individual player to make the AS-VAL work in Season 3.

If used correctly, this AS-VAL loadout will be a Warzone monster at medium range. It might not overpower the meta weapons but it certainly won’t lack behind in any major way.

  • Barrel: VLK 200mm Osa
  • Laser: Tac Laser
  • Underbarrel: Merc Foregrip
  • Ammunition: 30 Round Mags
  • Rear Grip: Stippled Grip Tape

The main stat that benefits the most from this loadout is mobility. The Stippled Grip Tape and Tac Laser both increase aim-down-sight speed, which will help to compete with SMGs and shotguns up close.

Other aspects of the loadout include improving recoil control, with the Merc Foregrip and the VLK 200mm Osa barrel. The latter of those attachments also comes with a Monolithic Suppressor built-in, so players don’t have to worry about any muzzle attachment. The barrel includes some additional bullet velocity, as well.

Rounding out the loadout is the 30 Round Mags, which is imperative as the AS-VAL has a tiny default magazine. Players should be able to compete with any other weapon in Warzone as long as they stay at medium range with this AS-VAL loadout.
