The new Season 1 weapons in Call of Duty: Vanguard are accessible in custom games prior to their official release with the Battle Pass. The Cooper Carbine and Gorenko Anti-Tank Rifle have been dissected for the past 24 hours and players already have top loadouts for the weapons.

Yesterday, fans discovered exactly how the Gorenko Anti-Tank Rifle acts in multiplayer. In a nutshell, the sniper rifle has a tremendous amount of recoil and turtle-like mobility. However, this is exchanged for having an extremely high damage profile. Players can essentially one-shot enemies anywhere from the waist up. Still, players will want to try and get that recoil down and mobility up with its recommended loadout.

Best Gorenko Anti-Tank Rifle loadout in Vanguard

Without any attachments equipped, the Gorenko sniper rifle has a 750-millisecond aim down sights speed. That’s laughably slow, as it takes almost one second to aim in with the weapon. If players can manage to speed that up a bit, though, they won’t have much trouble killing enemies. The Gorenko has one of the largest damage profiles in Vanguard and its top loadout only increases that.

  • Muzzle: F8 Stabilizer
  • Barrel: 240MM ZAC Rapid
  • Stock: ZAC Custom Precision
  • Underbarrel: GF-59 Flashlight
  • Magazine: 13MM AM 10 Round Mags
  • Ammo Type: FMJ Rounds
  • Rear Grip: Fabric Grip
  • Proficiency: Focus
  • Kit: Fully Loaded

The sniper rifle’s damage range is immediately increased with the F8 Stabilizer and ZAC Custom Precision stock. The FMJ Rounds also make shooting through surfaces more lethal.

To improve mobility, the 240MM ZAC Rapid and Fabric Grip are in use. These attachments increase ADS, sprint-to-fire and movement speeds. While it won’t make the Gorenko exceptionally quick, the attachments allow it to be more competitive when moving around.

The final attachments are the GF-59 Flashlight, to make enemy nameplates appear from farther ranges, and the Focus Proficiency, to improve flinch resistance when hit. This specific Gorenko Anti-Tank Rifle loadout allows players to keep its damage profile intact while improving its overall mobility in Vanguard. However, it should still be a mainly long-range weapon in multiplayer.
