The origins of Mrakuzic and Brock Esports

Mrakuzic is no rookie when it comes to working within the esports industry. At Brock University, he pursued a bachelor’s degree in sport management. He also became the founder and president of Brock Esports, which is an organization dedicated to creating a competitive gaming community.

As of now, Brock Esports currently has competitive teams for games like Call of Duty, Hearthstone, Overwatch, and Fortnite. This is in addition to League of Legends, CSGO, Super Smash Bros., Rocket League, and StarCraft.

Mrakuzic’s involvement in the esports scene dates back to when he was 14 years old. In an interview, he recalled how he simply started out with a passion for video games. By following that passion and applying what he had learned in Brock University’s sport management program, he built Brock Esports from scratch.

After the launch of the organization back in 2017, Mrakuzic and his team reached new heights in terms of expanding the types of competitive teams, as well as the number of tournaments the teams entered.

OverActive Media

While Mrakuzic’s legacy continues at the collegiate level, his involvement with OverActive Media is just beginning. OverActive is a giant that owns teams that participate in various notable esports. These teams include Toronto Defiant, Splyce, Mad Lions, and Toronto Ultra. The company is based out of Toronto, Canada. Mrakuzic will inevitably play a large part in its events management moving forward.
