Call of Duty League team Toronto Ultra has updated their home series date to June 27-28. Fans and players who have already made ticket purchases for this event will receive new ones.
Fans can still look forward to the Toronto Ultra’s first series of CDL games, however. This event remains scheduled to take place on Mar. 21-22. Over on the team’s official Twitter page, it was also announced that fans who attend this match will get admission to the team’s Challengers Event that same weekend.
“We’ve combined our two Home Series and we’ll now only have the bigger June Home Series – tickets will go on sale in the coming weeks!” the Toronto Ultra Twitter page explained in a reply.
Last year, the tickets went on sale to the general public on Nov. 27. The sale announcement boasted that Toronto Ultra’s two home series weekends would feature autograph sessions and several matches, as well as events created with fans in mind. They were scheduled to take place at the Mattamy Centre, also known as the Maple Leaf Gardens.
“We know that there is an established crossover audience between Call of Duty fans and traditional sports, and that is in large part, why we are so proud to be calling the former Maple Leaf Gardens our home for the upcoming season,” Chris Overholt, the CEO and president of OverActive Media, revealed about the chosen location.
OverActive Media is the esports organization behind Call of Duty League team Toronto Ultra. This is in addition to their other teams, such as the Toronto Defiant when it comes to the Overwatch League and the MAD Lions for CSGO and the League of Legends European Championship.
OverActive Media also indicated that those who have purchased tickets but can no longer attend the event because of its new date should contact them via email.
