After a flurry of announcements, Call of Duty New York officially has their starting 5 players. Among the first COD League teams to make their signings public, NYC is now the first team to reveal their starting roster. They have also already signed a coach and analyst, leaving substitute spots and a general manager as their only open positions.
New York seemed to have a distinct strategy when signing a starting roster. They didn’t take a chance on any up and coming players but chose players with complementary roles. With ZooMaa, Temp, and Accuracy signed earlier, who are the final two players?
Former FaZe Clan members take their talents to the concrete jungle
In the current starting lineup, COD New York has employed three former FaZe Clan players. Alongside the already-announced Tommy “ZooMaa” Paparatto, NYC has now revealed Dillon “Attach” Price and Trei “Zer0” Morris will join him for the 2020 CDL season.

While Attach and Zer0 were on separate squads during Black Ops 4, they still have a FaZe connection. Attach was on loan from FaZe to Evil Genuises during BO4, while ZooMaa and Zer0 represented FaZe. Having that previous experience playing together is a huge luxury that some CDL teams won’t enjoy.
Attach, along with ZooMaa, played on FaZe from 2015-2019 as a Flex/SMG slayer. He and ZooMaa formed one of the deadliest SMG combos in the scene and are considered to be very good friends outside of Call of Duty, as we can see below.

Joining them is Zer0, one of the top European players in COD esports. Along with Accuracy, the two will form perhaps the top AR pairing in the CDL. While Zer0’s teammates might need some time adjusting to his accent and verbiage, it wasn’t a big issue last year during his time with FaZe.
New York is the first organization to start the process of fully disclosing their squad. However, it’s rumored that almost every team in the CDL has signed at least a few players. It’s just a matter of when those teams choose to announce their decisions.
