There’s not much to knock when it comes to Call of Duty: Warzone battle royale. The mechanics and features are all balanced and have their place, which the community obviously appreciates. However, if there was one thing missing from Warzone, it would be additional modes to play besides Trios and Solos. Traditionally, battle royales have three standard modes, being Solos, Duos, and Squads. There are also Limited-Time Modes, which differ from the normal format of the regular modes. At the time of writing, Warzone only features Trios and Solos. Though, a leak from the files of the game shows that’s about to change.

Leaks indicate Warzone to debut additional modes

While it’s still early for Warzone, players are always yearning for what’s next when it comes to multiplayer titles. So, Trios and Solos might be enough right now, in a couple of week’s time, the community will desire more game modes to play. Fortunately, it appears that Infinity Ward has all intentions of fulfilling that desire. According to leaks from the Twitter account @ModernWarzone, Duos and four-man Squads are on the way in addition to Trios and Solos.

Of course, these are simply leaks from the Warzone files, so we can’t take them as fact. However, developers rarely pull the plug on an upcoming feature if it’s already in the code of the game. So, don’t be surprised if we see both of these modes arrive in Warzone with a future update.

We can also take something else from the above tweet, though. If ModernWarzone is correct, then private matches are coming along with the new modes. Supposedly, players will be able to change the rules and other aspects of the match. There’s no word on how many players would be allowed in one custom match, unfortunately.
