Can the K9 Unit Operator Skill be unlocked in COD Mobile Season 8?

Some players in COD Mobile Season 8 have been dumbfounded in multiplayer when they get killed by a random K9 Unit. To some players’ knowledge, the K9 Unit is a completely new Operator Skill that just seems to wreak havoc on the map. They can’t figure out how to unlock the K9 Unit in the current season of COD Mobile so they can do the same to other players. Unfortunately for those players, this specific Operator Skill is likely out of reach in Season 8.

The K9 Unit was originally released in Season 5 of COD Mobile. It was a part of the Season 5 Battle Pass and players that progressed through it unlocked the Operator Skill. It was available on Tier 14 of the pass as a free reward. However, Season 5 was months ago and players in today’s season are wondering if they even have the option to unlock or purchase the K9 Unit.

Unlocking the K9 Unit in COD Mobile Season 8

As of right now, the Operator Skill cannot be unlocked in COD Mobile. The developers have yet to make it available following the end of Season 5, where it was originally unlockable.

While this is the current case, players shouldn’t give up hope yet. COD Mobile has a habit of making previously unattainable content available through the in-game store. Whether it’s through the Credit system or with COD Points, most content is eventually able to be unlocked.

Though there’s no confirmation this will happen with the K9 Unit, there is precedent for it happening. If it does become available, players can expect to pay a solid amount of Credits for it. For example, the Sparrow Operator Skill costs 2,000 Credits in the in-game store.

So players in Season 8 might be out of luck but they shouldn’t give up hope that they can one day have a dog running alongside them in COD Mobile.
