According to the HLTV Twitter, Tsvetelin “CeRq” Dimitrov of Evil Geniuses has attained the most AWP kills in the 2019 CSGO season. The amount is also not by a small margin when compared to other widely-known AWP wielders, such as Nicolai “device” Reedtz or even Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut.

CeRq tops the chart

The statistic takes into account “big events”, meaning top tier events, most likely to be LANs. The Bulgarian AWPer has played under the Evil Geniuses banner (ex-NRG) in 2019 alongside the likes of Tarik “tarik” Celik and Ethan “Ethan” Arnold.

Interestingly enough, most avid CSGO fans would not put CeRq as their number #1 pick for this particular stat. ZyWoo, device, Aleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev, or Kenny “KennyS” Schrub would most likely spring to mind. Meanwhile, CeRq is miles ahead over the #2 place taken by ZywOo, sitting at almost 350 frags more. He holds an impressive 1424 AWP kills at big events in 2019.

Achievements and statistics in 2019

CeRq’s Evil Geniuses won a total of two LAN events last year. The ex-NRG team beat Astralis in the final of ESL One New York in late September. The American formation also overcame Fnatic in the final of StarSeries i-League Season 8 to clinch the trophy in Turkey in late October. Vincent “Brehze” Cayonte and Ethan received the MVP awards for those events respectively.

The Bulgarian 20-year-old was placed on the 18th spot of HLTV’s best players of the year because of his statistics. This year, CeRq has attained a 1.10 2.0 Rating at big events. His headshot % is a low 28.5% due to his AWP usage. One stat that CeRq is exceptional at is survivability, or namely DPR (Deaths per Round) with only 0.62 DPR. The player’s KAST rating is also decently high at 71.7%. Due to his AWP wielding tendencies however, the Bulgarian has a poor rating of ADR (Average Damage per Round) at 71.7.

CeRq, nevertheless, impressed with his total AWP kills in 2019, surpassing other, perhaps more popular names on the scene. Given his young age of 20, CeRq will hopefully improve even further and deliver even better statistics as time goes on.
