Cloud9 have extended the contract of their LCS top laner, Ibrahim “Fudge” Allami through 2025, according to the Global Contract Database. This extension makes Fudge the first player to sign under the new 4-year contract length rule. He previously updated his contract with C9 in 2020 which would have expired on Nov.22  2023.

Having spent two years with C9 both as an Academy and LCS player, Fudge will continue to represent the organization in the years to come. However, as reported by Upcomer, this representation may come in the form of a mid lane role swap.

Fudge’s Cloud9 journey so far.

With the fall of the Oceania region, Fudge moved to Cloud9 as the starting top laner of their Academy team. He won both the spring and summer playoffs of the NA Academy as well as a first-place finish in the regular standings of 2020. After this, he replaced Eric “Licorice” Ritchie in the team’s LCS roster.

Fudge struggled at the beginning of the 2021 season but soon turned things around. He and his team finished first in the LCS 2021 Spring split standings and also won the Mid-Season Showdown. The team also finished third at the LCS Championship and clinched a ticket to Worlds 2021. They became the only Western team to make it out of groups and the first LCS team to do so since 2018.

Additionally, Fudge displayed some brilliant top lane performances both at the Mid-Season Invitational and Worlds 2021. His top lane aggression as well as the ability to save Cloud9 in extended team fights earned him lots of praise. He also developed a good top-jungle synergy with Robert “Blaber” Huang. If Fudge becomes the starting mid laner for Cloud9 in the coming split, his already established synergy with Blaber will be an added bonus.

With both Luka “Perkz” Perkovic and Philippe “Vulcan” Laflamme gone from the roster, C9’s style will likely look slightly different in the upcoming season.
