North American esports organization Complexity Gaming has announced it will launch a weekly Fortnite “Mobile Mondays” tournament. This esports event will be hosted in partnership with BoomTV and take place on Mondays throughout September and October. The tournament will begin on Sept 16 and feature a live watch party in Complexity’s GameStop Performance Center.

Fortnite Mobile Mondays
“The accessibility of mobile esports uniquely aligns with the accessibility of Complexity’s new headquarters. Anyone with a smartphone can join in on the action of Mobile Monday and now our local fans can come experience the GameStop Performance Center at the Star,” said Jason Lake, the founder and CEO of Complexity Gaming. “It’s exciting to be able to reach both our Complexity family close to home as well as our fans around the world.”
The esports tournament will be held by esports entertainment platform BoomTV. The platform has previously partnered with many top Twitch influencers to host Code Red events on many different esports titles. Each week between Sept 16 and Oct 14, players will compete for a weekly $750 prize pool. The top player will take home $500, with second and third receiving $200 and $50. Afterward, the top 100 players from previous weeks will compete on Oct 21 for a $1,250 prize pool.

“We’re excited to welcome our local Frisco community into the GameStop Performance Center for the first time and interact with our fans,” said Sam “DuckyTheGamer” Hatch, a star mobile Fortnite player for Complexity Gaming. “Mobile Mondays are a great way for gamers of all ages and abilities to join in the fun and feel like a part of the Complexity team.”
On the same day as the Mobile Monday watch party, Complexity Gaming will unveil the GameStop Performance Center to the public. This will take place between 4:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. CST. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet star mobile Fortnite player Sam “DuckyTheGamer” Hatch as well. The first 50 attendees will also receive prizes that include HyperX mousepads, limited Complexity Panini Cards, and Fortnite Panini Card Packs. The esports facility will be open for fans to tour and purchase Complexity Gaming merchandise.
Interested players can sign up on the Complexity BoomTV page by inputting their Epic Games usernames. Fans can watch all the action and the live scoreboard on the same page as well. This is considered the largest ever weekly prize pool for an online mobile tournament, according to Complexity Gaming.
