The Dallas Empire has been officially crowned the Call of Duty League 2020 champions after defeating the Atlanta FaZe. Dallas first defeated Atlanta FaZe in the winner’s final of the Championship 3-2 in a game 5 Search and Destroy. FaZe then fell to the loser’s bracket where they defeated the Chicago Huntsmen in 3-1 fashion. The Empire would get to take on FaZe again on championship Sunday and win 5-1 in a best of nine.

After defeating the Atlanta FaZe in the winner’s final, Dallas Empire started the best-of-nine with the first map in their favor. Cuyler “Huke” Garland went huge in-game one Hardpoint, helping Dallas defeat Atlanta 250-173. He was running around the map outlaying everyone on Atlanta and even went on a seven-kill streak mid-game. Ian “Crimsix” Porter also went huge in game two Search and Destroy where he went double-positive and beat them 6-3.

Dallas Empire give Clayster and Crimsix their 3rd ring

James “Clayster” Eubanks won his second championship last year during Black Ops 4 on EUnited. His win with Dallas Empire has gifted him his third championship win, tying him with Damon “Karma” Barlow. Karma retired mid-season during Modern Warfare after his team the Seattle Surge continued to underperform. Crimsix joins both Clayster and Karma after his impressive performance with the Empire.

In addition to the three rings, both Clayster and Crimsix now pass Karma in prize earnings. Karma sat at the top of the standings at the start of the year with over $700,000 in earnings. Clayster and Crimsix now have well over a million dollars earned in total. Mike “Hastr0” Rufail, previously CEO of Team EnVy/Dallas Empire tweeted out his team’s success over the years after the win. EnVy is the only organization to win two world championships in Call of Duty and has been to five of the eight grand finals. According to Hastr0, Team EnVy is currently #1 for prize money won from Call of Duty alone.
