It wouldn’t be a major tournament without something leaking early now would it? Ahead of the finale of the Dragon Ball FighterZ World Tour Finals taking place right now in Los Angeles, the trailer for Season 2 of Dragon Ball FighterZ has leaked early and you can check it out here!
Jiren and Videl are officially confirmed and we can see what their gameplay will look like already, as they release this Thursday, January 31st! Jiren looks as boring as he ever did, although Arc System Works does their best to make him look as visually interesting as possible, with an unimpressive moveset of basic punches and ki blasts. Videl, on the other hand, looks HYPE as she incorporates the Great Saiyaman into her moves, similar to how Captain Ginyu utilizes the other members of the Ginyu Force. It will be very interesting to see how exactly she plays and how Gohan can be used.
At the end of the trailer, similar to the Tekken 7 Season 2 trailer, we get a last minute confirmation that Broly and Gogeta from the massively successful Dragon Ball Super Broly movie will be added to Season 2 as well. Only footage from the movie was shown, presumably because the characters aren’t ready to see yet. I am more than happy to let Bandai Namco take their time, because as beautiful as the animation was in the movie, I can only imagine how gorgeous Arc System Works will make these characters look.
After a somewhat lackluster recent twitch stream, it looks like steam is picking up for Season 2 of Dragon Ball FighterZ. The Dragon Ball FighterZ World Tour finals end tonight, January 27th, at 10 PM EST where we will see the “official” announcement of Season 2, along with a first look at the newly announced Action RPG Dragon Ball Z title. We will be sure to keep you up to date and let you know when the grand champion is crowned later tonight.
