The CSGO Asia Championships 2019 group stage has come to an end, with TYLOO and ENCE coming out on top in Group A and B respectively. This guarantees these teams a place in the semi-finals of the event. In the meantime, Evil Geniuses will take on mousesports and AVANGAR will face MIBR in the quarter-finals in Shanghai, China.

TYLOO keeps their momentum going

After a victory in their home country at eXTREMESLAND 2019 Asia Finals, the Chinese powerhouse is looking to score an even bigger achievement on home territory. TYLOO qualified straight to the semi-finals after placing in their group. The placement is a result of two 2-0 victories, first against G2 and then against MiBR.

With G2, Evil Geniuses, and MIBR all in group A, it became extremely difficult to predict that TYLOO would be the team that topped the group. Nevertheless, the Chinese proved superior. They will face Evil Geniuses or mousesports in the semi-final.

ENCE get back on track with suNny

Following the departure of Aleksi “Aleksib” Virolainen, the ENCE lineup with Miikka “suNny” Kemppi has failed to lift a trophy. ENCE are looking to get back on track now at Asia Championships after overcoming ViCi and mousesports. The Finnish lineup now awaits their semi-finalist opponent after the result of the AVANGAR-MiBR quarter-final.

Was the signing of suNny the right move moving ahead for ENCE?

The quarter-finalists

Placing 2nd and 3rd in their respective groups, Evil Geniuses will square off against mousesports and AVANGAR will take on MiBR in best-of-three matchups in order to get into the semi-finals. You can catch the on-going action in Shanghai until Sunday, Nov 23, the day of the grand finale in China.
