Enthusiast Gaming announced that it, along with Canadian esports organization Luminosity Gaming, will enter into a endorsement agreement with food delivery platform foodora Canada. The partnership will provide digital marketing strategies and Luminosity with merchandise endorsement opportunities.

Enthusiast Gaming and Luminosity

Enthusiast Gaming and Luminosity Gaming will launch a digital advertising campaign together to complement foodora’s advertising strategies. Included within the campaign will be a social media contest to promote foodora across Canada. Foodora Canada will also be featured as a key merchandise patron for Luminosity. This means the placement of the foodora logo on the Luminosity Gaming jerseys.

“The partnership with foodora Canada proves our ability to successfully integrate our operations thus far, and I am proud of both Enthusiast and Luminosity for the collaborative effort to develop a successful, custom marketing campaign,” said Jon Dwyer, the Senior Vice President & Head of Special Partnerships at Luminosity Gaming. “It’s exciting for us to see non-endemic gaming brands like foodora Canada utilizing our platform to reach the combined network of 200 million gamers, and one of the most sought after demographics.”

Enthusiast Gaming Holdings entered an arrangement agreement in May of 2019 with Aquilini GameCo and 755 Capital Corporation, the parent company of Luminosity Gaming, to merge assets. The merger created one of the largest vertically integrated video gaming media companies in North America, with a media reach of around 200 million. This partnership is the first between the two entities since the announcement.

“As foodora continues to grow, evolve and innovate within the Canadian food delivery space, it’s important that we also continue to reach new customers who would find value in our services,” added Matt Rice, the Head of Marketing at foodora Canada. “Partnering with Enthusiast and Luminosity allows us to tap into an existing mobile-first gaming community who are always searching for ways to be more efficient. It’s the perfect fit.”

Foodora GmbH is a Berlin-based online food delivery company. It acquired food delivery platforms like Canada’s Hurrier, Australia’s Suppertime, and Austria’s Heimschmecker in June of 2015. Since then, they now all operate under the foodora brand.

Foodora Canada currently operates in 10 cities and services more than 3,000 restaurants across Canada. It is dedicated to bringing Canadian food lovers their favorite meals, from a curated list of local restaurants, delivered within 35 minutes. In Canada, foodora caters to all major cities including Toronto, Ottawa, Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Montreal, and more.
