Another team has entered the ring with their new roster. With Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 finally released, the last round of team reveals are finally popping up. EUnited looks to maintain their longtime core roster and add new players that will fill the gaps. This announcement comes among rumors of the organization adding the young gun aBeZy to the lineup. However, the acquisition of JKap was a surprise to many.

EUnited first made noise during the Infinite Warfare year and has become a staple team in the scene. Following a massive roster shakeup that season, eUnited finally found an identity after adding James “Clayster” Eubank. The organization’s rise to the top propelled the young brother duo of Preston “Prestinni” Sanderson and Alec “Arcitys” Sanderson. Throughout the past, the core roster could never find the right fourth player. With the move to five versus five, eUnited has a real opportunity to balance their team. The roster for the Black Ops 4 season is as follows:

  • James “Clayster” Eubanks
  • Alec “Arcitys” Sanderson
  • Preston “Prestinni” Sanderson
  • Jordan “JKap” Kaplan
  • Tyler “aBeZy” Pharris

The Vet and the Rookie

The eUnited roster was a polarizing one the past season. The team would either have monster performances or drop to an average team. The twins had their breakout year in Infinite Warfare and fans anticipated their play coming into World War II. Unfortunately, the team suffered a massive dropoff from their SMG player Prestinni. Throughout the year, he could never find his footing and caused massive pacing issues in the team. It was not until CWL Championships 2018, where the team would show their potential, achieving a commendable fourth place. While the team was capable of going head-to-head against the best teams, they never had that consistency to do so.

It appears that the off-season blessed eUnited with a potential solution to their roster woes. The acquisition of raw firepower player like aBeZy will at the least complement Prestinni’s aggressive playstyle. EUnited may have one of the better SMG duos assuming the two can work in tandem with each other. While he did not have any major placings in his rookie year, aBeZy managed to impress the scene with the numbers he put up. At the very least, the young gun will likely be able to handle himself stats-wise.

The biggest change to the roster has to be the inclusion of JKap. Pros and fans alike value the two-time world champion because of the tenure JKap has. The game knowledge and leadership alone that he can bring can elevate a team to newer heights. With two strong veterans on the team, aBeZy can become a star player. As well, the two novice twin brothers should expect to further refine their gameplay this season. Fans should remember that JKap and Clayster found success and their first rings in the Advanced Warfare Championships in 2015 on their Denial roster. By all accounts, the future looks bright for this mixed-generation roster.

ReUnited

While the roster stands as quite balanced, the team still has potential flaws. The acquisition of aBeZy still poses a risk as the player has yet to have any real experience against any high-caliber pro teams. The question stands whether the rookie will harden or crumble under the pressure. In addition, while the SMG duo of Prestinni and aBeZy works on paper, it remains to be seen how the meta will impact the aggressive playstyle. The early meta of the game shows signs of favoring steady AR players. Whether the two will click and find a workable pace remains to be seen.

Despite the potential weakness in eUnited’s SMG power, it is hard to count out this new lineup. EUnited has never been short on star power, boasting some of the best players in the scene. Although now, the roster has never looked so good coming into the season. It is hard not to stress the importance of both JKap and Clayster’s tutelage and the potential impact it has. EUnited could go from an average upset team into a consistent top five contending team.

The Black Ops 4 season has kicked off and everyone’s all about the game. With CWL Vegas coming in December, there is still much development around team developments, esports meta, and general news. Keep up with everything Call of Duty right here on Daily Esports.
