The VALORANT Champions Tour Last Chance Qualifier is the final opportunity for the remaining teams in North America to qualify for Champions at the end of the year.
Envy, 100 Thieves, and Sentinels have all qualified for VCT Masters 3: Berlin by placing top three at Challenger Playoffs in NA. However, despite qualifying for Berlin, only Sentinels have qualified for Champions after winning VCT Masters 2: Reykjavík. For the remaining NA teams, they will have to battle it out for circuit points and through the VCT Last Chance Qualifier to make it.
For Envy and 100 Thieves, they will have to battle it out in a number of scenarios to earn enough circuit points to qualify for Champions. In any scenario, 100 Thieves will have to place above Envy if they want to qualify on points alone. If they don’t place higher than Envy, or vice versa, they will have to play through the VCT Last Chance Qualifier.
Teams unable to make Champions
Due to a lack of performance in Stage 3, Immortals, ANDBOX, and NRG can no longer qualify for Champions. They have 10, 20, and 30 points respectively, and cannot earn more under any circumstances. Depending on how VCT Masters 3: Berlin plays out with Envy and Sentinels, the teams currently in third through 10th place will all be able to qualify for Champions through the VCT Last Chance Qualifier.
TSM, who are currently in 11th place with 40 points, will only be able to qualify for Champions through the VCT Last Chance Qualifier if a team from NA wins VCT Masters 3: Berlin. If another region wins Berlin, then TSM will join Immortals NRG and ANDBOX on the outside of Champions contention.
When does the Last Chance Qualifier begin?
The VCT Last Chance Qualifier for NA begins Oct. 12 and will end on Oct. 17. It will be the “last chance” for a team to punch their ticket to Champions at the end of the year. Whichever team wins will join Sentinels and one other team from NA to compete against the best of the best from other regions.
Ten teams will compete for the chance to attend Champions. Eight of those teams will be from NA based on the teams still eligible. The remaining two slots will be filled by teams from Oceania who will have an equal opportunity to qualify.
