Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has been out for four months now, but fans are still finding tricks within the game. After all, the Call of Duty community is nothing but tenacious about the series they’ve been playing for years. While Modern Warfare hasn’t been received as positively as other titles, fans still look to improve their experiences. One YouTuber, XclusiveAce, is one of the prominent figures in the community who brings light to many game mechanics to improve players’ gameplay. His most recent video details how most players are using the movement system in Modern Warfare incorrectly.

Are you moving correctly in Modern Warfare?

Movement is one of the most important aspects of any multiplayer title. If used properly, movement can give you a number of advantages over enemy players. For today, we’ll be going over how to move the fastest in Modern Warfare. XclusiveAce released a video earlier today that goes over some common misconceptions with movement in the latest Call of Duty title.

Essentially, the common belief among players is that equipping the combat knife gives you the fastest movement speed. This includes using the Tactical Sprint that’s in Modern Warfare.

While the knife does make you move faster than most other weapons, it’s not the fastest method of moving. According to XclusiveAce, the pistols are actually faster than the combat knife by 3-4%. Even though the combat knife has two times the amount of Tactical Sprint, the pistols are still quicker.

This information is certainly shocking to those who have played Call of Duty before. In almost any multiplayer shooter, the knife is what you equip if you want to move the fastest. However, Modern Warfare is a bit different, which might change how some CDL professionals and everyday players set up their classes.

We’ll have to wait and see if this new information has any effect on the CDL when the pros take the stage in Los Angeles this weekend.
