Allaince Dota 2 roster make changes ahead of the 2022 DPC

Alliance support Artem “Fng” Barshack and midlaner Linus “Limmp” Blomdin have left the organization this morning. The previous first seed in the Western Europe DOTA Pro Circuit (DPC) will now have to replace the long-time members.

Alliance’s DOTA 2 team is making changes to their roster after the end of The International 10. Fng has been with the team for a year, and Limmp has been with the team for nearly three. Both were instrumental in Alliance securing the first seed in the 2021 Western European DPC. However, ever since winning the DPC, Alliance has had a rough time. The team was eliminated early in the Kyiv AniMajor despite being the first seed from Western Europe.

During the season, Limmp was one of the most dominant laners during the season but was unable to perform as well when it came to The International 10. The change in patch definitely had to do with affecting Alliance’s style of play. By the time The International 10 Group Stages started, the team suffered several 0-2 losses. The only win they had was against the winless Thunder Predator. Alliance ended up in the lower bracket of the Main Stage of The International 10. A perilous best-of-one stood between them and elimination. Alliance was able to move forward by beating Beastcoast in the first round. However, they lost to Southeast Asian giants T1 in the next round and were eliminated from The International 10.

“I want to thank Limmp and Fng for their time with Alliance,” Jonathan “Loda” Berg, Alliance’s CEO and co-founder, said in their blog post. “Throughout their time with us, they have both been incredibly professional and it’s been a pleasure working with them.”
