Every time Fortnite receives an update, players can expect a data mine shortly thereafter. This week’s pull includes a leak of the Season 5, Week 2 challenges, as well as a surprising reveal of potential new cosmetics. Following yesterday’s update to SMGs, Twitter user @FNBRLeaks posted a snippet of the game’s code that hints at cosmetic options for the All-Terrain Karts (ATK). He said the following:

* LEAK * Vehicle Decorations aka Golf Cart (ATK) Customization may come soon. Looks like Epic is testing they’re first decoration with a Llama Mesh (Model).

How Kart cosmetics work remains to be seen. Based on the above tweet, it appears Epic is testing this option with a custom Llama Mesh. These cosmetics may just be seasonal, similar to how rocket and grenade launchers received Halloween and Easter skins.

Season 5, Week 2 challenges leaked

As with last week, there are three free challenges and four Battle Pass challenges this week. The challenges go live this Thursday, July 19. Be sure to watch our page for updates, as we’ll have a guide on how to complete these challenges shortly thereafter. In case you’re still catching up, last week’s guide is available here.

Free Challenges

  • Deal 1,000 damage with Assault Rifles to opponents
  • Search 7 Ammo Boxes in a single match
  • Eliminate 3 opponents in Paradise Palms – Hard

Battle Pass Challenges

  • Score a basket on different hoops
  • Search Chests in Loot Lake
  • Search between an oasis, rock archway, and dinosaurs – Hard
  • Sniper Rifle Eliminations – Hard

Most of this week’s challenges are familiar variations on past challenges. Some, like dealing Assault Rifle damage, searching ammo boxes, and searching chests, will come naturally through playing matches. However, the first Battle Pass challenge is entirely new. Utilizing the new “toys” introduced with Season 5, players will need to use the Basketball toy (activated via the emote wheel in-game) to shoot some hoops. We’ll update this page with a handy map so you can find the best places to ball. Per usual, completing any four challenges awards players with bonus experience points, and completing all of the week’s challenges unlocks a new loading screen.

That’s it for the latest data mine. Are you excited for potential Kart liveries? Excited for an easy week of challenges? Let us know your thoughts below, and we’ll see you on the island tomorrow following the update!
