Although Fortnite Season X has gotten off to a bit of a rocky start gameplay-wise, cosmetically the game is in a great spot. The new Battle Pass is one of the best in quite some time, and now the Fortnite Item Shop may be getting a makeover.

With every new season, data-miners have a field day going through the new in-game files. Epic Games usually puts a majority of the new season’s features within these files. So, almost immediately, data-miners have access to all sorts of leaks.

This time around, well-known leaker FireMonkey found a few interesting images in these files. They relate to the Fortnite Item Shop and suggest a feature that fans have wanted for a long time.

Fortnite Item Shop voting coming soon?

While nothing is concrete, of course, the fact that images of Item Shop voting exist in these files means that it’s almost a sure-fire thing. Epic Games rarely takes out features that have already gone through the design process.

Here are the images FireMonkey discovered through data-mining the in-game files:

From the images above, it seems like there will be a featured item (or items), and players will have a certain amount of time to vote which item returns to the shop. The one to return will be either the first cosmetic to fill up the bar in the second image or whichever item receives the most votes.

While there will be a number of items, Epic Games will most likely pick and choose which items are voted on. In other words, they pick the items for voting, then the players vote on their favorites. This will prevent the same cosmetic from appearing over and over again.

There is no leak on when this feature will come to Fortnite. However, based on these images, it looks like completion is on the horizon.
