Season 5 of Epic Games’ Fortnite is all about the most dangerous bounty hunters and if leaks can be believed, Tomb Raider’s Lara Croft may be coming next. Agent Jonsey is pulling more and more bounty hunters to protect The Loop. Season 5 Chapter 2’s Zero Point story continues to develop as more iconic characters join the hunt. Thanks to a few leaks and some speculation from fans, the video game icon Lara Croft may be dropping next.

According to Fortnite dataminer, Mang0e, a new crossover skin is headed to the game soon. Titled “Typhoon,” the skin is for a female character and will have reactive styles. The portal that appears when the character arrives also seems to have a “flicker” effect.

While there may not be a lot of information to work from, Fortnite fans seem to think that the Typhoon codename is a reference to the 2013 Tomb Raider from developer Crystal Dynamics. In 2013’s Tomb Raider, Lara Croft is stranded on an island after a massive storm destroys her ship and traps her on the island of Yamatai off the coast of Japan.

Fortnite isn’t the only one talking about Lara Croft

The official Tomb Raider Twitter account cryptically tweeted out earlier this month a few emoji’s that seem to suggest Lara is building something. There’s honestly not much to work from there, but it does line up with the leaks from Mang0e.

Players have already seen several major hunters join Agent Jonsey in Fortnite. The Mandalorian and Baby Yoda, the two greatest hunters in the Star Wars universe, have already joined the game. The Walking Dead has also had two formidable hunters, Daryl Dixon and Michonne, take their zombie hunting to Fortnite. Both Microsoft and Sony have added major characters join the game too, with Master Chief and Kratos taking the hunt across platforms.

While Epic Games is not saying anything quite yet on who the latest character may be, the classic video game hunter Lara Croft would be a great addition to Fortnite.
