No surprises in Fortnite World Cup Week 6 Duos
The Fortnite World Cup continues, with players the world over competing to see who will qualify for the Finals. The leaderboards are now up for Week 6 Duos, and professional Fortnite players showed why they paid to play the game.
Tyler “Ninja” Blevins and his partner “Reverse2k” narrowly missed qualifying, coming in just two points shy. Meanwhile, Davis “Ceice” McClellan and Hayden “Elevate” Krueger of 100 Thieves finished on top of the Fortnite World Cup’s NA East region. After solid performances in previous weeks, the duo from 100 Thieves locked in their spot in New York City.
Over in the EU, Thomas “Tschiiinken” Hörak and Klaus “Stompy” Konstanzer dominated once again. For the second week in a row, the E11 duo finished first overall. The rest of the top ten is full of well-known players.
Solary gets two teams qualified
After multiple weeks of being tested, the Solary team saw two Fortnite duo teams qualify in Week 6. The first of these was Karim “Airwaks” Benghalia and Nicolas “Nikof” Frejavise, who finished in second for the European region. The other Solary duo of Corentin “Hunter” Tardif and Huynh “Kinstaar” Duong Huynh also qualified this week.
The Solary team has had tough luck in previous weeks. Twice a player was unable to play their final game due to technical problems. Overall, however, the team has played quite consistently, and they now find themselves in the Fortnite World Cup Finals.
