G2 Esports extend paysafecard endorsement

Berlin-based esports organization G2 Esports announced they have extended their endorsement deal with online prepaid payment provider paysafecard. The deal, which began in 2016, served as Paysafe Group’s first step into esports. This consecutive extension will mark a continuation into the fourth year.

A previous collaboration between the two companies included a “Making The Squad” interactive talent show. This show resulted in four Fortnite content creators receiving full time streaming contracts. It is very likely something similar will happen the following year with this partnership.

“With paysafecard we have been able to take G2 content creation to the next level with projects like Making The Squad. Together we are exploring new ways of entertaining the esports audience and new ways of expanding our partnership,” wrote Carlos “ocelote” Rodriguez, the CEO of G2 Esports. “Paysafecard is our longest-standing partner and we are thrilled to strengthen our relationship as we continue to bring innovative and entertaining content to esports fans worldwide.”

G2 Esports is a Spanish esports organization based in Berlin. It is known for its League of Legends European Championship team, which most recently won the 2019 Mid-Season Invitational. The organization also competes in games like Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, Rocket League, Hearthstone, and Rainbow Six Siege.

Paysafecard partnership

The partnership will have the paysafecard brand promoted on G2 Esports’ social media channels and Twitch live streams. Paysafecard will patron branded giveaways and challenges for the organization’s esports players. It will also host fan signing sessions with G2 players, along with meet and greets. The payment provider will continue to see its branding on G2 Esports’ jerseys.

Some of G2 Esports’ other partners include Twitch, Logitech, display company AOC, team management platform Esport Management, AORUS, and NEED for SEAT.
