Harrisburg University has announced a partnership with esports merchandising company We Are Nations. The collaboration will see its HU Storm collegiate esports program being provided with a revamped team jersey design.

“The Storm is the very first college team we’re working jointly through both Sector Six and Nations,” said Patrick Mahoney, CEO and co-founder of We Are Nations, in a release. “This is because this team is clearly leading the way in collegiate esports. Nations has always taken the view that esports will grow just like all other popular sports have.”

The partnership between Harrisburg University Storm and We Are Nations will include a line of casual wear developed for the players and fans. This will consist of pieces like joggers, shoes, socks, and hats.

In addition, there will be a signature series of apparel developed and inspired by Overwatch coach Joe “Joemeister” Gramano and League of Legends coach Alex “Xpecial” Chu. The two members of the coaching staff previously competed for Overwatch League franchise Philadelphia Fusion and League of Legends Championship Series team Golden Guardians, respectively.

“This partnership brings a fresh design and improvement in quality overall. These jerseys are just as nice, if not nicer, than what a lot of the pros are wearing,” said Alex “Xpecial” Chu, coach for Harrisburg University Storm’s League of Legends program. “Just like any other sport, we want to represent all of the different scenarios we play in – home, away, tournaments – these are all part of our fan experience and we want them to feel the energy we do when we face our opponents.”

Harrisburg Storm currently competes in the Tespa Overwatch Collegiate Championship, Scouting Grounds Circuit, Bloody Invitational Gaming League, Riot Games’ College League of Legends, and more.

We Are Nations works with esports organizations like G2 Esports, Method GG, UYU, Cloud9, and Misfits Gaming. An online store will be available in February, with a retail partnership in the works to be announced later this year.
