Hazed is open to CSGO coaching role offers

Former Counter Logic Gaming and OpTic Gaming CSGO player James “hazed” Cobb has revealed that he is interested in transitioning into a coaching role. Following his time with OpTic Gaming and a short stint on Muffin Lightning, he has played under the Mythic banner. The organization is known for its players, who mainly act as content creators.

With that being said, im open to offers after this season of MDL to coaching. I learned a lot from the short time i had on optic and can do better. I will continue streaming in a much higher volume until an offer comes.

James “hazed” Cobb

James “hazed” Cobb got his start with Counter-Strike and Counter-Strike: Source. He started competing in 2010 under teams like Double Scope Gang, FURY KILLS TEAMS, and eMazing Gaming. He later transitioned to Netcode Guides, mouse Spaz, and Counter Logic Gaming.

While with CLG, the team went on to 1st place finishes at 2015’s North Arena, WinOut’s CSGO Championship, and Season 6 of CEVO Professional. The team also placed 3 – 4th at Season 1 of ESL’s ESEA Pro League Finals and 4th at Season 1 of the Global Esports Cup. Some other achievements include 5 – 8th at 2016’s Columbus MLG Major Championship and 11 – 14th during Season 1 of ELEAGUE.

He was later released from CLG, an organization which would later disband its CSGO teams in 2017 anyways. Hazed joined OpTic Gaming as a temporary stand-in for a short four-month period. While with the Greenwall, the team went on to 3 – 4th at 2017’s Intel Extreme Masters XIII in Sydney. It also took 1st in CyberPowerPC’s Extreme Gaming Series Spring 2017 Invitational and Season 3 of the Esports Championship Series Finals.

Transition to coaching

After a lot of reflection on life and the choices ive made, i need to do better. Not only in my personal life, but in business as well.

Hazed tweets about not being as ambitious about his goals. He now wants to enter the competitive CSGO scene, even if it means in a different role. Despite still currently playing on the Mythic roster, the team hasn’t achieved much recently. The last prize pool they earned dates back to a 2018 North America Gfinity Spring Series event.

With so many organizations reentering CSGO and given his vast experience, he may have a chance at this role. However, hazed hasn’t taken playing competitive CSGO off the board completely.
