Hearthstone introduces Wailing Caverns Mini-Set cards

Players can summon 2/2 tokens that have bonus effects like Taunt, Divine Shield and more.

Hearthstone announced the Wailing Caverns Mini-Set for its Forged in the Barrens expansion on May 27.

The Wailing Cavern is a new dungeon that allows players to join forces with different characters. In order to awaken Archdruid Naralex, players must duke it out against deadly beasts.

Legendary cards and gameplay

There are 35 unique cards in the Wailing Caverns Mini-Set, which can also be obtained through Forged in the Barrens card packs. Minions from different Spell Schools are part of the set, alongside four new Legendary cards that feature characters from the Wailing Caverns.

In addition to these four Legendary cards, the entire set will include Epic, Rare and Common ones. Players who purchase this set will receive 66 cards in total. The card reveals begin on May 28.

As for the gameplay, players can summon 2/2 tokens that have bonus effects such as Taunt, Divine Shield and Poisonous.

Druids of the Fang and the Nightmare

A new cinematic trailer was released alongside the Wailing Caverns Mini-Set announcement.

The trailer revealed that “The Nightmare has corrupted every plant and animal in these caverns.” To get through the caverns, players must face wielders of nature itself such as the Druids of the Fang.

The Wailing Caverns Mini-Set launches on June 3. Once it’s available, Hearthstone players can purchase it for either 2,000 in-game gold or $14.99.

Beyond the Wailing Caverns

While players anticipate the adventures waiting within the Wailing Caverns, they can also look forward to the Hearthstone Grandmasters Season 1 matches.

The next set of live broadcasts are scheduled to begin on May 28. The top players of each region will compete for the weekly crown and points that will determine the final standings before the Playoffs tournament.

Players can also earn Hearthstone card packs through YouTube Drops.
