Hearthstone: Saviors of Uldum unleashes Tombs of Terror solo adventure

Hearthstone has just released the first two chapters of its Tombs of Terror solo adventure for the Saviors of Uldum expansion.

In the first chapter of this game mode, Hearthstone players get to play as Reno Jackson and are equipped with Reno’s Lucky Hat as a Signature Treasure card. This card gives a minion +2/+2 along with +2 in Spell Damage.

Being a Dual-Class Hero, the starting Hero Power for Reno is Amateur Mage, which can target either a minion or the Hero to deal one damage. If played in a combo, the Hero Power deals two damage instead. Reno’s deck also consists of a passive called Twist – Plague Lord of Murlocs, which summons a random number of Murlocs onto one’s board the turn a “Surprise! Murlocs!” card is drawn.

After defeating the first boss, players get to choose between three Treasures, similar to the adventure modes of previous expansions. Players then continue building their deck by selecting card buckets after defeating each consecutive boss. The final boss in the first chapter is Vesh, Plague Lord of Murlocs.

As for the second chapter, players get to be Sir Finley, who is of the Shaman and Paladin classes. This chapter features the Plague of Madness, which makes a player’s right-most minion attack a random enemy at the end of their turn. 

As a starting Signature Treasure, players get Finley’s Pith Helmet. This card gives all friendly minions +2 health and shuffles itself into the player’s deck. The starting Hero Power is New Recruits, which summons a 2/1 Amalgam Explorer. 

During a run, players also get two friendly encounters with Bazaar Bob. Like Bartender Bob in Hearthstone’s Dalaran Heist solo adventure, players get to modify their deck with these encounters.

The first chapter of Saviors of Uldum’s Tombs of Terror solo adventure is free for players. To unlock chapter two, as well as the future chapters, Hearthstone players can purchase a bundle for $14.99 USD. Another option is to purchase chapters individually for either 700 Gold or $6.99 each. 

Players get to earn up to 16 Saviors of Uldum card packs while playing Tombs of Terror as well. With the first four chapters, three card packs are earned after defeating the fifth boss. Three more card packs are earned by beating the final chapter, and a Golden Classic card pack is rewarded by completing the entirety of Tombs of Terror.

As for card backs, two unique ones can be earned by completing every chapter in both Normal and Heroic mode.
