The upcoming expansion reveal can be watched either on the game’s official YouTube or Twitch channel on July 1. Hearthstone’s lead designer, Alec Dawson will kick off the broadcast with an overview of the expansion. Afterwards, game designers John McIntyre and Liv Breeden will go into the upcoming card set.

Hearthstone Mercenaries update

According to the announcement, Blizzard acknowledged that players are interested in learning more about Hearthstone Mercenaries. However, the developer needs more time to implement all of the planned content.

“As such, we’re now expecting Hearthstone Mercenaries to be released in Phase 2 of the Year of the Gryphon and won’t be quite ready to share details on the mode during the stream on July 1,” the announcement said.

However, fans of Hearthstone Mercenaries can look forward to an upcoming stream about the game mode. More details about the stream will come out in the fall as the broadcast date approaches.

While players anticipate the upcoming Year of the Gryphon broadcasts, they can also add the rest of the Masters Tour events to their calendars.

Earlier this year, competitive players duked it out in Masters Tour Ironforge, Orgrimmar and Dalaran. In the most recent tournament, Wang “ShuiMoo” Qihao became the Masters Tour Dalaran champion and received the lion’s share of the $250,000 prize pool.
