Horizon Forbidden West, developed by Guerrilla Games, is the exciting sequel to Horizon Zero Dawn. Zero Dawn was one of the best games on the previous generation consoles and Forbidden West looks to capture the same magic in 2022. The game releases on Feb. 18 for PS4 and PS5, giving players roughly three weeks before they can play. However, some players might still be on the fence about pre-ordering certain Horizon Forbidden West editions.
Guerrilla Games has offered a few different options when it comes to pre-ordering Horizon Forbidden West. One such option, the Regalla Edition, has already sold out in most major retail markets. This was the most expensive of the bunch, coming in at $260, and offered the most content. It was a Horizon collector’s dream but fans can still cash in on some exclusive content with other editions.

Below, fans can see the four available editions for Horizon Forbidden West along with their price tags and specific content.
Standard Edition – $60-70
This is the base edition for the next Horizon game, coming in at the regular price of $60 for PS4 and $70 for PS5. Fans who pre-order this edition will receive the following content:

- Nora Legacy spear
The Standard Edition is for those with a smaller budget or who don’t need the extra content from the other editions.
Special Edition – $70-80
Next is the Special Edition, which will run PS4 players $70 and PS5 players $80. If players decide to buy the game on PS4 but eventually want to upgrade to PS5, they can upgrade Horizon Forbidden West for free. They’ll also keep their content from the Special Edition regardless of whether they upgrade to the PS5 version.

The Steelbook case and mini art book for the Special Edition are only available for retail copies of Horizon Forbidden West.
Digital Deluxe Edition – $80
This edition is only available for players who purchase the game digitally through the PS Store. It comes with more content than the Special Edition and is cross-gen as well, so players don’t need to go through the process of upgrading their version if they buy a PS5.
