How to find the Twinblade in Elden Ring

A classic FromSoftware weapon returns to the Lands Between

The Twinblade is a familiar weapon to those who have played the Dark Souls game, and it has returned in Elden Ring. As confirmed by early trailers and the network test, the Twinblade is found somewhere on the vast map. However, it’s not in the same location in the full build as it was in the network test. During the network test, it was found in Groveside Cave in Limgrave.

This is no longer true in the full release version of Elden Ring. Luckily for players, though, the Twinblade is still found somewhere in Limgrave. Unfortunately, it’s next to one of the toughest early-game bosses in the game. This means players will need to sneak around the boss or fight it head-on for the right to wield the Twinblade. Below, you can see the exact location of the elongated weapon.

Finding the Twinblade in Elden Ring

The Twinblade is found in the Dragon-Burnt Ruins, which is located in the central region of Limgrave. This location is found directly east of the starting point in Elden Ring. You can find it at the southern point of the lake east of this point. This means you can actually get the Twinblade within your first hour of playing, so long as you avoid the gigantic dragon that guards the Dragon-Burnt Ruins.

Luckily, you can avoid the dragon by going to the southernmost ruins at the edge of Agheel Lake instead of going to the middle of the lake, which is where the dragon resides. If you go here, you’ll only have to fight a few skeletons. Once you’ve handled those, look for a staircase heading underground. If you’ve found it, then simply open the door, and inside will be a treasure chest containing the Twinblade.

If you’re looking to wield the Twinblade right away, you might be disappointed. The Twinblade requires you to have 18 Dexterity, which is a hefty stat to have in the early game. However, if you dump all of your points into Dexterity, with some Strength added in, you’ll be able to wield the Twinblade relatively early in Elden Ring.

You now have one of the best early-game melee weapons in the entire game.
