In addition to having a monstrous-sized open world that players can see in Elden Ring, there’s also an expansive world underground. The underground includes locations such as Siofra River, Deeproot Depths and the Eternal Cities of the game. The first of those Eternal Cities, and the one talked about the most, is called Nokron. Players will most likely hear about Nokron in Elden Ring through Blaidd or Ranni, as the location is required to pass through to complete Ranni’s questline.

Despite having access to Ranni’s questline during your time in Liurnia, you can’t access the city of Nokron until you take care of some business in the Caelid region. For a full explanation on how to make your way to Nokron, keep reading below.

Getting to Nokron in Elden Ring

The first and only requirement to getting into Nokron is to defeat Starscourge Radahn, the main boss of Caelid. This frustrating demigod resides at Redmane Castle, where he holds the Festival of Radahn. You can partake in this festival with NPCs from Ranni’s questline, such as Blaidd, in order to take Radahn down.

Once the boss is defeated, a cutscene will roll that shows a meteor falling from the sky and crashing below. It turns out that the meteor was the key to accessing Nokron. If you make your way to the Mistwood part of the Limgrave region, you will find a multitude of floating rocks in the sky. This is where you want to go.

If you’re facing the rocks head on, you need to head to the right side of them, ideally on Torrent. This will lead you down a path to a platform, which you can jump on. Next, there will be a door on another platform. This is located a story below the one you’re on. Jump to that platform with Torrent and then you’ll find yourself in a large room.

Keep heading straight until you reach an arch. On the other side, you’ll be greeted by the view of Nokron, the Eternal City. Now, you can make your way across the rooftops and down to the ground level. If you keep going straight, you’ll see even more of the city and will be able to progress Ranni’s questline.
