How to place a Bioscanner in an Alien Biome for Fortnite Week 9 challenge

The Fortnite Chapter 2 – Season 7 Week 9 challenges have leaked early and players now have access to the sets before they release later this week. One of the first tasks that players might jump at is placing a Bioscanner in an Alien Biome, which sounds more difficult than it really is.

This Week 9 Legendary Quest will require some extra attention. Players won’t be able to complete this challenge by simply playing Fortnite as they normally do. However, the challenge will only take one match and reward players with 30,000 XP.

Placing a Bioscanner in an Alien Biome in Fortnite

For this challenge, players must know what an Alien Biome is. Essentially, this is an area that the aliens have taken over in Fortnite. The easiest Alien Biome to find on the Season 7 map is Holly Hatchery. Since the early weeks of Season 7, this POI has been transformed into an alien nesting spot.

Once players arrive at Holly Hatchery, they’ll see some houses that have a transparent field around them. These are the Alien Biomes that players are searching for. Players can choose any of the four houses with one of these biomes surrounding it.

After a house has been selected, players need to search around that specific house and find the Bioscanner, identified by a blue outline. One of the Bioscanners is located inside of one of the houses but the rest are found outside. Once players have found one, they must approach it and hold the “interact” button. Once this is done, the challenge is completed.

Players are awarded 30,000 XP for their Season 7 Battle Pass and can move onto the next Week 9 task.
