How to unlock the MX9 and Rytec AMR in COD Mobile Season 6

The two newest weapons in COD Mobile

Call of Duty Mobile Season 6: The Heat released last night and players immediately hopped in-game to see all of the new content. The developers showcased much of the season’s content in early previews. However, now players can see the new map Slums, the Swarm scorestreak and a fresh weapon added to the pool, the MX9.

However, some of the content that was shown off, like the Rytec AMR, is missing from Call of Duty Mobile Season 6. The AMR sniper rifle is the biggest piece of missing content and could be one of the best snipers once it arrives.

While waiting to unlock the Rytec AMR, players can unlock the MX9 and level it up by playing COD Mobile. The question is, how can players unlock both of the weapons?

Unlocking the MX9 in COD Mobile

Starting off with the current usable weapon in Season 6 of COD Mobile, the MX9 is a submachine gun hailing from Black Ops 4. It features balanced stats and should be near the top of the SMG tier list in Season 6. Players can unlock it by reaching Tier 21 on the Season 6 Battle Pass. They can purchase the Premium Pass for 1,280 COD Points and get all the way to Tier 12, making the journey to Tier 21 much easier.

Unlocking the Rytec AMR in COD Mobile

For the Rytec AMR, players will need to take part in the “Sharpshooter” challenge set. There are seven total challenges in the set, with the final challenge unlocking the Rytec AMR. The challenges, in order, are:

  • Kill 15 Enemies with any Sniper Rifle in MP Matches
  • Earn the Long Shot Medal 15 times in MP Matches
  • Loot 3 Sniper Rifles in BR Matches
  • Kill 5 enemies with Sniper Rifles in BR Matches
  • Kill 10 Enemies with any Sniper Rifle equipped with the Agile and Toughness Perks equipped
  • Kill 15 enemies with any Locus equipped with any Stock
  • Win 3 Matches with any Locus equipped with any 5 attachments

The seven tasks need to be completed in order or they will not unlock. The specific challenge to unlock the Rytec AMR is to win three matches with a five-attachment Locus equipped.

However, if players don’t want to go the challenge route, they can always buy the Rytec AMR Mythic weapon blueprint. Mythic weapons are unlocked through purchasing lucky draw crates. Players need to spend an increasing amount of COD Points each time they buy an item from a lucky draw crate. There are ten items in total and if players haven’t received the Rytec AMR after the tenth draw, they’ll unlock it automatically.

Once players have unlocked the two new weapons, they can level them up and unlock camo challenges associated with them. Players can also equip the recommended loadouts for both the MX9 and Rytec AMR.
