There are a wide variety of Operator Skills in COD Mobile and more are being added to multiplayer all of the time. The skills range from lethal to defensive and most are usable in Season 6, no matter the player’s skill level. However, one skill has spiked in popularity over the course of Season 6. The “Sharpened Skills” event this season rewards players with a free Katana, which also happens to be the main weapon of the Shadow Blade Operator Skill.

The Shadow Blade was taken from Black Ops 4, where Ripper utilized it to great success. In COD Mobile, it acts the same way, as players run around with a Katana in third-person.
Unlocking the Shadow Blade Operator Skill in COD Mobile
The Shadow Blade skill is purchasable for 2,000 credits in the in-game store. For players new to COD Mobile, we’ve included a simple step-by-step walkthrough below:
- Head to COD Mobile’s main lobby.
- Find the Store on the left-hand side of the screen.
- You’ll see several tabs on the left side of the screen. Click on the tab with the “C” icon. This is the symbol for credits in COD Mobile.
- Scroll the listings until you find the Shadow Blade. If you don’t have enough credits to make the purchase, simply continue playing COD Mobile to earn more. You can view your credit balance in the top right of the screen.
Players that already have 2,000 credits stored can simply click on the Shadow Blade to purchase it. Once bought, the skill will be waiting in the Operator Skills loadout menu. Purchasing the skill through the store is currently the only way to unlock the Shadow Blade in COD Mobile.
