How to use IO Launchpads for Fortnite Week 9 challenge

The Week 9 Epic and Legendary Quests are both live in Fortnite Chapter 2 – Season 7. Players can now complete both of the sets to earn some valuable XP for their Battle Pass. With Season 7 only having a month left, the XP that players can earn through challenges is more important than ever. One of the Epic Quests in Week 9 that could trip up players on the way to that XP is using IO Launchpads.

While the task is easy in theory, players must know where IO Launchpads are located and what they look like. They’re not like ordinary launchpads in Fortnite and players need to find one of a few specific pads on the island. This article will ensure players find the right one and complete this Week 9 challenge with ease.

Using IO Launchpads in Fortnite

IO Launchpads act like a standard launchpad in Fortnite. They throw the player up in the air and allow them to glide to their destination much faster than if they walked. As such, they’re quite a valuable resource. However, there are only a few of them on the map.

Players can find the IO Launchpads at Satellite Stations located around the Season 7 island. Also, if players want, they can land at Slurpy Swamp and find one of the launchpads there. The locations of all Satellite Stations in Fortnite are seen below.

Once players have arrived at one of the launchpad locations, they can find one fairly easily. The pads are glowing and can be seen from far away. Players must hop on one and glide through the air for the challenge to be complete. This rewards players with 30,000 XP for their Season 7 Battle Pass and gets them one step closer to unlocking the Superman skin in Fortnite.
