The LPL 2021 playoffs bracket is a King of the Hill single-elimination bracket that seeds its top regular season teams farther into the event with its lower seeds battling for the chance to play them later on. The bracket then changes to a double elimination bracket, once the first two seeds come into play in the fourth round. Basically, the tournament is a single-elimination gauntlet for teams seeded third and below, with two different gauntlets feeding into the double-elimination bracket.

LPL 2021 playoffs schedule and where to watch

The LPL 2021 playoffs will continue to broadcast on its regular channel with the first matchup starting on Aug. 12. All the games will take place starting at 5 a.m. EST with one series on each day. The first round of lower seeded matchups will occur from Aug.12-15 and conclude between Aug. 19 and 20.

Next, the double-elimination bracket starts on Aug.21. The first seed will play its first series against the survivor of the top bracket gauntlet. The bracket will then play out with the semi final matches played on Aug. 27 and 29 before the finals. The time and date for the finals are still yet to be determined at the time of publishing.

The winner of the LPL 2021 playoffs will receive an automatic first seed into the 2021 World Championships. The LPL will use championship points based off of playoff finishes in the summer and spring split to decide its second seed. A single-elimination four-team regional final will decide the league’s third and fourth seeds at the international event. The four teams competing in the regional final are decided by championship points.
