Immortals has announced it has signed former Team LDLC mid-laner Jérémy “Eika” Valdenaire to its League of Legends roster. The French player showed great performance on Team LDLC in the La Ligue Française League (LFL). He also went on to achieve the same upper half bracket placement in ESL’s European Masters series.

Eika joins from Team LDLC
“Happy to announce that I joined Immortals. Excited to show what I am capable of :),” Eika wrote. The 23-year-old first started competing in League of Legends in 2014, leaving university to do so. He then played for multiple organizations, including Team Nevo, Unicorns of Love, Gamers2, Elements, FC Schalke 04, Team Forge, and finally Team LDLC.
While with Team LDLC, the team achieved continuous first place achievements in the LFL, which also earned the team the qualification to compete in the ESL European Masters event. However, the French organization lost to SK Gaming Prime in the Spring Main Event and Berlin International Gaming (BIG) in the Summer Main Event, placing 5 – 8th at both.
Immortals returns to LCS
In June, Immortals obtained its League of Legends Championship Series (LCS) slot after parent organization Immortals Gaming Club acquired Infinite Esports and Entertainment, which owned OpTic Gaming. Many of the existing OpTic Gaming players have had their contracts end already. Others like Joshua “Dardoch” Hartnett, Lee “Crown” Min-ho, and William “Meteos” Hartman have left the organization for Team SoloMid (TSM), Counter Logic Gaming, and 100 Thieves respectively.
The contracts for Noh “Arrow” Dong-hyeon and Toàn “Asta” Trần have not expired, though. In addition, former OpTic Gaming coaching staff Thomas “Zaboutine” Si-Hassen and Kublai “Kubz” Barlas are staying. Reports have also surfaced that the Immortals organization is in talks to sign Misfits Gaming top laner Paul “soaZ” Boyer, Echo Fox bot laner Johnny “Altec” Ru, and Echo Fox support Nickolas “Hakuho” Surgent.
