ORIGINAL STORY:

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone battle royale are both starting to see more updates. The addition of Season 5 introduced a plethora of changes for both titles but it seems Infinity Ward isn’t done yet. Maybe it’s because Modern Warfare is beginning to wind down but players are seeing more updates than ever. However, the number of patches is only increasing, as Infinity Ward confirmed more coming soon. A part of that wave of patches will be a weapon tuning change for both games.

Weapon tuning coming for Modern Warfare and Warzone

A weapon balancing patch has been one of the biggest requests from the community. In Warzone particularly, weapons like the Bruen MK9 and FAL are simply too much to handle. This next weapon tuning update should help to alleviate those issues and add some new guns into the meta.

Infinity Ward’s Community Manager, Ashton Williams, broke the news that weapon tuning would be arriving soon in a tweet last night.

From the tweet’s language, we can see that multiple updates are in the works. The first includes weapon tuning, which should arrive before the mid-Season 5 update. The weapon balancing should also apply to both Modern Warfare and Warzone and not one or the other.

However, for fans of the Call of Duty League, the update will not touch any CDL weapons.

So this likely means the tuning will only apply to weapons that are considered dominant in Warzone. While this will have an effect on Modern Warfare, Warzone will suffer the most change.

As for the other parts of the update, Infinity Ward is finally fixing the demon weapon glitch in Warzone. Also, other bug fixes are in the works and should be included with the patches. We still don’t have a time frame for these changes, but the next few weeks is likely the ETA.
