Injustice 2 Pro Series Finals will air on Disney XD and ESPN3 in November

There is exciting news for viewers, players, and fans of the Injustice 2 Pro Series: Intersport and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment have teamed up to host the Injustice 2 Pro Series Grand Finals. They will take place in Chicago and be broadcast on Disney XD and ESPN3 this November. A whopping $100K prize pool is up for grabs this time around.

This isn’t the first time ESPN and Disney have broadcast esports. Earlier in the year, EA’s Madden NFL Championship Series aired on Disney XD and ESPN. Next, ESPN acquired exclusive rights to broadcast the North American League of Legends Championships. Those matches were shown exclusively on its subscription streaming service ESPN+. Finally, Blizzard signed a multi-year deal to broadcast Overwatch on Disney, ESPN, and ABC.

Other Details

Last year, Intersport was a part of the Injustice 2 Pro Series Finals taking place in Los Angeles. This is the second year of the Pro Series, which will end on Nov. 13. The series runs over the course of four months with regular season events.

16 finalists from North America, Europe, and Latin America will be competing for a piece of that sweet $100K prize pool. This is truly amazing to see major television networks making deals to show esports on television. It’s good news for viewers who will no longer have to rely on viewing these tournaments strictly online.

With so much money on the line, large tournaments, and fan favorites competing, this can only mean amazing viewership numbers for those networks. The only thing that remains to be seen is whether people will tune into these broadcasts.

Let us know in the comments if you plan on tuning in to your television or online to catch these finals. Great work on both parties for helping to show that esports is indeed a serious business and worth watching.
