Junk Rift, a new item, leaked in the Fortnite v10.10 update

With every Fortnite update, there are tons of leaks that come out. Whether they be cosmetics, upcoming items, or future events, leaks always surface due to Epic Games putting them in the game files. The v10.10 update is no different, as there were tons of leaks released today by Fortnite leakers. One of these leaks, however, is a little more intriguing than the rest. Named a “Junk Rift,” this leaked item seems to be a new spin on the Rift-To-Go.

Junk Rift coming soon to Fortnite?

When the Rift-To-Go was introduced in Fortnite Season 5, it was game-changing. A get-out-of-jail-free card, this epic item allowed players extra mobility as well as protection from enemies. However, the Rift-To-Go was vaulted with the v9.30 content update.

With Fortnite Season X lacking severely in mobility, a new rift item is welcome with open arms. Although, the Junk Rift obviously won’t work the same as a Rift-To-Go, so how will it work?

iFireMonkey on Twitter gives us our first look at what the item will look like.

We can currently only guess as to what the Junk Rift will do. However, in the image above, we can see it is a throwable. Along with this, we can see in this image that the player is holding a Junk Rift.

The Week 3 loading screen in Fortnite shows a preview of the Junk Rift.

From this image, we can make an educated guess as to what the Junk Rift will do. Since it is called the Junk Rift and a throwable, maybe you will throw the item at an enemy and it will spawn a junk item from a rift above. This junk item will then fall from the sky and damage any enemies or structures that lie in its path.

Of course, this is simply a theory on how the item will act. However, we believe the description above will turn out to be fairly accurate whenever the Junk Rift is released, which should be with next week’s content update.

What do you think it will do? Let us know in the comments below. Stay tuned to Daily Esports for all Fortnite Season X coverage.
