Even though DLC releases for Dead or Alive 5: Last Round had ended last year, and many fans were left wondering what’s in store for the series, it looks like the studio is still focused on keeping it as a premier fighting game for competitive play. The buxom beauties and their burly male counterparts will be featured in Koei Tecmo’s Dead or Alive EVO Showdown 2018.

Not-so-Last Round just yet

A recently released letter from producer Yosuke Hayashi and director Yohei Shimbori outlined their plans. The studio heads noted that even though they announced the end of the game’s active lifespan last December, “the gods of fighting games” have given them and its thousands of players a chance to enjoy it on the world’s stage.

This means the game will be part of the Evolution Championship Series, or EVO 2018. It’s worth noting that the DOA event is only a side tournament. However, it’s also a cause for excitement for the studio. Being a part of EVO has always been a goal for the series.

Fans looking to take part in the festivities can register via EVO’s website here.

And just in case you forgot what the game looks like… yep.
