NetherRealm Studios has revealed more characters for the ever growing roster of Mortal Kombat 11: Jacqui Briggs and Kotal Kahn. Check out the reveal video below.
Jacqui Briggs
The daughter of Jackson (“Jax”) and Vera Briggs, Jacqui made her first appearance in the Mortal Kombat universe in Mortal Kombat X. She is known for her boxing style. Jacqui is also known for sporting her electronic gauntlets, which enhance her power and also fire plasma energy. In the new reveal trailer, we can see her fighting style now looks different. Jacqui now looks to have more of a Muay Thai stance going on. She also has cybernetic legs to go along with her gauntlets.
Some of her new special moves include an uppercut and a flying fist. She is also able to shoot rockets from her gauntlets. There additionally seems to be a new special combo of kicks that she is able to use.
Kotal Kahn
Kotal Kahn is also making his return to the series. Known as the current emperor of the Outworld, this warrior is no joke as well. He is an Osh-Tek, whom resemble the Aztec warriors and have superhuman strength. He can draw power from sunlight to strengthen himself. On top of that he can also use blood magic to gain strength.
He has two new specials that include a parry and a disc throw. The sunbeam makes a return as a special move. He can use his saw blade as an anti-air mechanic too, and he can strike the ground with his blade to stagger the opponent. Kotal furthermore has four totems; only two totems are allowed at once, and he can stack totems up to three times to stack effects. You can mix and match two totems. The first one is blue and increases damage. The red one recovers health over time. Another totem can recover meter. For a final addition, Kotal can transform himself into a jaguar. He can pounce on enemies and it can be used in the air.
Both of these characters seem interesting, and I know for a fact I am excited to try them both out. I look forward to more reveals from NetherRealm.
